WELCOME TO THE SOCIETY FOR WOMEN THEOLOGIANS

As women theologians in both the ministry and the academy,

we exist to amplify the voices of fellow women theologians

walking in obedience to the Spirit’s call,

in service to Christ’s Church,

and in stewardship of God’s creation.

Our founding members first began meeting together as a seminary support group, but it quickly became something more. They realized that if they began to leverage their collective passion for supporting and advancing the theological work of women, they could have a significant impact on the landscape of their particular ministry context (and beyond). Currently, we are hosting several gatherings a year, and in between times, we share stories and resources on the blog. Join our network, attend our events, and share our resources to support the work of women in theology.
